Don’t let your friend wash your house unless he is also a professional pressure cleaning contractor.

Something pretty rare happened to me today. A customer requested a quote from me, and the first thing they ask me about was about our process and what type of equipment we use.  (most of the time the first thing people ask is, “how much is it going to cost?”, which is understandable – we all need to watch our pennies).

She went on to explain her situation, and told me that she had hired a friend she worked with to wash her house a couple of times.  She explained that he used garden type sprayer and a water hose and had to lean ladders all over the house so he could reach the high spots.   She said she didn’t like that, and wanted someone who had professional cleaning equipment.

I’ve got a friend that helped me move one time and the whole time we were loading the truck it was pouring rain – all day.  That’s what friends are for, and I’m thankful for friends like that, but you gotta be careful when you’re talking about cleaning your biggest investment with a pressure washing machine.  Worst case – something could get damaged or someone could get hurt. Best case – you end up with an average job.

Just sayin.
